WIZARD of OZ DRAMA PRODUCTION - Performances 4 and 5 August

EPro8 Semi Final Winners!
This team of (from left) Tineisha McDougall, Zoe Nydegger-Monks, Emma Vennell and Morna Collie won their heat several weeks ago and then last night in the semi-finals topped their pool again - and our boys' team was second! This semi included teams from the Wanganui, Dannevirke and Feilding areas, with the top five teams going through to the regional finals in Palmerston North on 4 May. Well done girls! Yesterday's gala day appears to have been most successful on every front. Parents gave wonderful support in running events, manning stalls and donating cooking, goods & services, as well as getting their families along on the day. Our senior students themselves ran many stalls and were a big help in the set up / tidy up operations. School staff were also at the forefront of the action which was all coordinated by our Home and School Association under the leadership of Rachel Williams. We must acknowledge the Hunterville Lions Club who ran a plant & machinery auction and allowed us to share the Hunterville Domain with them which enabled us tap into the out of town visitors who attended their auction. A most impressive event from all concerned as he entire event was organised witin a month!.

Hunterville Consolidated School opened on 28th September 1887 with a roll of 40 pupils. A secondary department was established at the school in 1912 and this operated until 1929 ...
