CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TOUGH KIDS team at Ohingaiti on the last day of term three .... they arrived back crowned THE TOUGHEST SCHOOL!


Students will travel home by the usual means at the start of lunchtime 12.40pm on the above date to allow most staff to attend Mrs Matson's funeral. A skeleton staff will remain until 3pm for any students unable to go home at 12.40.

NO BUSES will be running at 3pm - just at 12.40.


Our champion Yr 5/6 Rippa Rugby team represented Wanganui for a record 3rd consecutive year at the national tournament in Wellington from 21 to 23 August. Their best results were a convincing win against Buller and a draw against the might of Wellington, with very close games against Hawkes Bay and Southland.

The Wizard of Oz!
The Wizard of Oz played over four sold out shows on Thursday and Friday, with the cast of 180 enthralling and entertaining each audience. Director Wendy Revell once again pulled all the right strings with the cast and was supported to the hilt by the usual magnificent parent, whanau and community support. THANK YOU EVERYONE! Hunterville Consolidated School opened on 28th September 1887 with a roll of 40 pupils. A secondary department was established at the school in 1912 and this operated until 1929 ...
